Based on the real and imagined lives of Gigi's ancestors, this play is the story of Sophie, who flees her privileged if cloistered life in 1910 Crasukis, Russia for the promise of America.
Readings and Solo Performances
Using simple props and minimal stage set, Gigi's solo performances explore the human psyche: its loves, obsessions, and imaginings. In her stories, both edgy and comic, she pokes at the bulges under the rug. What's hiding there? What was she - or someone else - trying to bury?
