It's time to finally write your book

This week, I dug into my archives of articles for Professional Artist magazine and I'm sharing a piece I wrote about how to snag a book deal.

Written especially for visual artists, the feature includes interviews with artist/authors including Carol Marine who wrote Daily Painting and Lucy Mucklow, art therapist and blogger, who wrote several coloring books including Color Me Calm. I also interviewed publishing expert Jane Friedman for tips on how to write a book proposal.

I chose to share this article because it's the time of year I start thinking about my goals for 2018—the big goals—like writing a book. If that's on your list and you think that because you're a visual artist you couldn't write a book, read this article and think again.
