Return to In-Person Presentations

After two years of learning how to talk to my laptop as if it were my best friend, I delivered my first in-person presentation last week for the first time since March 12, 2020.

What a relief to look into the eyes of real people rather than the green dot on my computer!

But it was also unnerving to be back in person after being alone in my home office for more than two years delivering presentations into cyberspace. This experience reminded me of all the considerations to presenting in-person that I can't ignore any longer.

For example, where do I hide my lucky charm? How big a space will I have at the venue? Will I be able to walk around? Or will I need to stand in one place? Watch this video "Step 1 to Rehearsing for In-Person Presentations" for some help with how to prepare.

What's on your mind as we head back into the real world of in-person presentations? I'd love to hear.

Now that I'm leading workshops in-person again, I need to prepare differently than I do for Zoom presentations. For example, I need to consider where I'll hide my lucky charm (that stuffed mini-Dachshund above) when I'm teaching in-person. Where do you hide your lucky charm?
